That's not why I was gone, but it's probably why it's good that I was gone. We had computer problems, amongst other issues. Most incredibly insignificant in the grand scheme of things, some not as much. Some that leave me wondering when it's good to make a stand and when to let it be. And I still wonder. What is right? What is not? Sigh.
If you have nothing good to say... Which would leave me with no inner battle, if people just practiced that. And I have nothing good to say. So that's why I'm trying really hard to not say anything at all.
But more than anything, I want to be home. Home, where I really know people and they really know me. Where I run into people that know where I came from. That I never have to guess how people will react, and completely strike out. But, mostly home where I can wrap my arms around friends and tell them that I'm so sorry for their loss. If only you could mail a hug. Or twenty. And have one mailed to me.
Head and heart hurt. Home and heart sick.

Ami! I was just thinking about you the other day. Saw your name in my phone and thought that I really need to call you to catch up. And thank you for your sweet words. But where is your humor when I need it? :)
Wishin' you were here, too. Seems like so much loss of young lives lately and it makes you want your family close to you. Anyway, sometimes its just better to take the high road (even if it isn't as satisfying) and let people be with their heads stuck in the sand!
Hugs Mindi!! Let's get out tomorrow night and you can forget about things for a few hours over coffee. It will get better my dear friend! It sucks to be homesick! I'll come over for morning coffee tomorrow and we can chat about George and Joni. It always helps me:)

Let's meet at the DQ parking lot and do the Marquireta (sp?!?!?) For some reason that is a memory I have of you, and Liz and Steph, and your sil Katie and the Erickson girls and well, being YOUNG.........(((HUGS))) to you, Cowtowner, from another one at heart <3 Wish I could be there, too. For some of the same reasons you pry do, and for some of my own. PLUS, coffee with you and Em and George and Joni laughs would be the best today....sigh Amy I
I'm trying with the high road, T-bone.
Em-Just saying "George and Joni" brings a smile to my face.
Amy- Good memories. So many memories I have of you are at the DQ. Too bad you weren't closer for those George and Joni's. Thanks for the smile.
<3
well, I aint really from your home, but I know some about where you come from, or well, the hills where your mother comes from.
Unfortunately, that prob. isn't very comforting right now. Shucks.
Would a picture of St. Urho help you?
I'd even go take one, if it'd make you feel better...
hey mama. {{hugggggggg}}.

(yes, a real hug. you so make the hug acceptabiltiy criteria.)
Love you. I'd mail you a hug if I knew how. XOXO
Thinking of you. That taking the high road thing is so universal. Someone once told me that if you retaliate, you are taking their poison on as your own. So if you can ignore it and walk away, it remains their problem and it takes a lot quicker for you to move past it. And I'm so sorry for your loss.
Hugs!
First.. I am so sorry you are hurting. Second.. how weird that I came here and there is this post. Too much to type but I just had to tell someone the hardest...hardest thing because they are so right but I had to tell that person to take the high road and it sucked. Thinking of you!!
